Note: This quote is by Jane Elliot, an anti-racism activist and educator who created the famous “blue eyes/brown eyes” exercise (look it up, it’s quite brilliant). She is essentially one of the founders of diversity training. I think it can also be expanded to include ableism or even being dismissive when talking about chronic illness, and highlights the importance of educating people about our reality.
